After professors José Barea Tejeiro and José Luis Monzón Campos, Rafael Chaves Ávila has taken on the challenge of leading the Scientific Commission of CIRIEC-Spain. Professor Chaves (Strasbourg, 1966) has a long history of promoting and developing projects and initiatives at CIRIEC. He affirms that in his almost thirty years of activity he has worked, in the CIRIEC network, "so that scientific studies in the field of social economy are placed at the forefront of studies in economics and social sciences". Today this objective is a reality: they form an object of study and a consolidated scientific discipline of international prestige.
