The AS4EDI2020 project has received confirmation of its extension until the end of September 2022 from the co-funding entity, the European Health and Digital Executive Agency (HaDEA). It has also added a new member, Goldman from Cyprus, to its international consortium, replacing another, so that the participating entities will continue over the coming months to pursue their goal of enabling a large number of European entities to use the electronic delivery services they provide in a manner compliant with the AS4 messaging protocol that follows the CEF specifications.

Validated ID from Spain, Pantarei Soluzioni Informatiche, S.A.T.A. and Promofarma from Italy, Ionite from the Netherlands, Globaltnet from Latvia and Goldman from Cyprus are part of the initiative, which will contribute to the extension of eIDAS electronic registered delivery services (ERDS) and the use of secure encrypted communication between public administrations, businesses and citizens.

The participating Trust Service Providers (TSPs) will certify their new PEPPOL AS4 access point as part of their ERDS implemented in accordance with the requirements set out in the eIDAS Regulation, except Goldman, which instead of using the PEPPOL network, will operate within the "eDelGovCy" belonging to the Cyprus postal service department.

In this cross-border scenario, the operation of these APs will benefit a large number of customers from different Member States, including public institutions and companies from various business sectors, such as retail, manufacturing, tourism, banking and the health sector.
