EDI providers successfully conclude the update of their PEPPOL access point

The Up-Access project has helped to 4 EDI providers to update their access points for the cross-border transmission of electronic files, according to the AS4 protocol promoted by the European Commission through the CEF Telecom program, and to the eIDAS regulation.

UP-Access results contribute to the achievement of one of the aims pursued by the European Commission in terms of strengthening trade relations between countries: the creation of a Digital Single Market. The DSI allows citizens to have a broad access to online products and services, and impulses the conditions the have been created for digital networks and services to grow, strengthening the European digital economy.

EDI Providers are Invinet Sistemes 2013 (Spain), Babelway (Belgium), Datajust B.V. (Holland) and Webware Internet Solutions (Germany), coordinated by the Universitat de Valéncia (Spain. This action will aid to the cross-border transmission of electronic files, according to the AS4 protocol promoted by the European Commission through its CEF Telecom program, and to the eIDAS regulation.

After updating their systems, these providers will be able to offer their clients from both the public and private sectors the possibility of transferring electronic documents securely through the Internet. This will be done following the AS4 protocol that is already used by thousands of entities from Member States.

The project had a total budget of 346,251.62 euros and a financing by the European Commission corresponding to 75% of this total (259,688.72 Euros).
