The eID4Spain20 consortium, coordinated by IRTIC and involving three Spanish public administrations, has received confirmation of the extension of the project by the European European Health and Digital Executive Agency (HaDEA), which will conclude at the end of September. The initiative focuses on connecting the public e-services provided by these administrations to the Spanish eIDAS node through CL@VE 2.0 in line with the eIDAS Regulation.

The City Council of Torrent, the City Council of Alcobendas and the Provincial Council of Ourense participate in the initiative with the coordination of the Institute on Robotics and Information and Communication Technologies (IRTIC). HaDEA co-finances the initiative through the CEF Telecom programme.

In this way, the action will facilitate access to these services for EU citizens and businesses using their national eID, ensuring cross-border mobility and supporting and strengthening the digital single market.

The eID4Spain2020 project will adapt the participants' solutions to connect to CL@VE 2.0, the main Spanish e-government solution used by local, regional and national public e-services to authenticate citizens according to new interfaces and requirements. Partners are already connected to an earlier version of the CL@VE platform that is not linked to the eIDAS node.
