Dr. Francisco Alonso, Director of INTRAS and the SEOFER Chair of Road Safety and Intelligent Mobility, gives the opening lecture of the 4th Ibero-American Congress on Intelligent Transport Systems held from November 9 to 11, 2021, in Mexico City.

The Conference, entitled "Application of ITS for Sustainable Mobility", gave way to a Congress where the main current ITS issues in the region were addressed, with the participation of public administration, transport operators, private companies, research centers and universities from the different countries that make up this community.

The technical sessions of the Congress and the interventions of the participants dealt with the following thematic areas:

• Pay-per-use on roads
• ITS in tunnels
• Connected Mobility
• ITS & Smart Cities
• Digitalization of transport
• ITS in logistics

The IV Iberoamerican ITS Congress has been organized by ITS Iberoamerica in collaboration with ANASEVI (National Alliance for Road Safety).
