Dr. Francisco Alonso, Director of INTRAS and advisor to INTRANT, presented the paper “Response to mobility problems in the Dominican Republic. Legislative action: Regulations on technical inspection of vehicles and plans ”, in the event “Sustainable Urban Mobility Platform for Latin America” held on December 4, 2019 within the events of the Climate Summit COP25.
The event showed how a CoP can catalyse sustainable and low-carbon urban mobility development based on the example of the regional CoP for Latin America, it shared objectives and goals of the CoP, several examples of past and planned activities as well as the services it can offer.
The event drew on the benefits of linking regional and global experience using the regional CoP in Latin America as an example for other regions.
The Climate Summit is held from the 2nd to the 13th of December to reach agreements and commitments between nations to fight against the effects of climate change.
