INTRAS researchers are participating in the SuTra 2024 Congress, which will be held from 26 to 28 September 2024 in Croatia.

The paper presented is entitled "Does early cycling onset help promotesustainable transport engagement? A study in five Balkan countries" and its authors are Mireia Faus, Francisco Alonso, Javier Gené and Sergio Useche, among others.

International Conference on Sustainable Transport, SuTra 2024, is organized jointly by the University North, Croatia and University of Rijeka, Faculty of Maritime Studies, Croatia.

Globalization brings new challenges in transport of goods and passengers. In order to cope with the rising demand for transportation of every kind, special attention must be paid to ensure the sustainability of the modern transport. SUTRA conference is focused on multidisciplinary research and development, as well as operational experiences, all with the aim to discuss optimal scientific and engineering solutions to reduce the negative environmental impact of transportation systems. This must inevitably be done by interdisciplinary approach and taking into consideration different means of transport: maritime, rail, road and air services, as well as inland waterways. The variety of topics covered by the SUTRA conference reflects the complex interaction of the transport systems with their environment. SUTRA conference is intended to gather together academia, business and administration, all key stakeholders in ensuring the sustainability of the transport.
