Our colleague, Mayte Duce, retires after almost twenty-two years working at INTRAS.

On February 21, 2025, a tribute ceremony was held for Mayte in which INTRAS members, collaborators, former colleagues and staff from other departments and services of the University of Valencia participated.

After the initial surprise of the honoree, Dr. Francisco Alonso, on behalf of all those involved, presented her with a bouquet of flowers and other gifts including a commemorative plaque in recognition of her work and dedication for and to INTRAS.

Afterwards, Mayte, very moved, thanked everyone and declared that she had loved this work and enjoyed every moment of these years, which have also given her the opportunity to create strong bonds of friendship.

Mayte's dedication, patience and affection have been the soul of this institute. She leaves an indelible mark on INTRAS, but, above all, on each one of us. For this reason, the position she has occupied already bears her name and, for us, she will always be “emeritus” of INTRAS.
