Research, development and innovation Project on the factors that affect safety in the city of Murcia and the development of intervention measures.

The project has been oriented towards research through a diagnosis statistical study on accident rate by traffic in the city of Murcia with the date corresponding to the period 1993-2000.

The project has had a development aspect where there have been made action proposals in traffic management, urban reorganisation, road signalling and user information, sensitisation and other areas.

In the innovation section the action proposals have been made considering the existing data and studies in the area of mobility and transport and the necessary fieldwork. In addition, a new system of collection, electronic management and statistical traffic data analysis has been designed.

It has been developed by the Research Group METRAS, in collaboration with the Research Group DATS.
