The BBVA Foundation Frontiers of Knowledge Awards, developed in conjunction with the Spanish Research Council (CSIC), recognise and encourage research and cultural creation of excellence, especially contributions of singular impact due to their originality and significance.
Categories:
- Basic Sciences (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics)
- Biology and Biomedicine
- Information and Communication Technologies
- Ecology and Conservation Biology
- Climate Change
- Economics, Finance and Management
- Humanities and Social Sciences
- Music and Opera
In the Humanities and Social Sciences category, the award will alternate annually between these two disciplinary domains. In this fifteenth edition, it will be dedicated to Humanities.
Financial envelope
€400,000, a diploma and a commemorative artwork, in each of the eight categories.
