Jazz: An endless story

Schedule: From 18 july 2018 to 19 july 2018. Saturday at 09:30 to 14:30.

Place: C/ Tossal, 8 - 46701 GANDIA

Description:

With a duration of 10 hours and within the academic educational field (jazz-education) it will consist, above all, of an addition of concrete data around the jazz theme (musicians; styles; first jazz influences and chronology; organology; performances of foreign music; newcomer trends according to periods, etc.). Careful listening and various viewings following the development of the genre with musical-social reasoning and formal study of selected pieces. Areas of influence. Musical baggage of the most significant interpreters of the jazz scene. Within a specific educational itinerary[jazz-education, in this case] this course should be considered as a complement to other courses of semblants with a historiographic Musician's Degree, in addition to the interactive nature of the boy scout of auditions (recorded or in situ using the piano), despite the fact that its content reaches a broader defining corpus, in addition to being updated, given the cultural importance that jazz, as a genre and also as an artistic movement, has occurred throughout the 20th and 21st centuries.

Coordinator. Vincent Lluís Fontelles Rodríguez. Professor of Musical, Plastic and Body Expression Didactics. University of Valencia.
