Ana Queralt, professor at the Universitat de València, has obtained the chair of Nursing of the Faculty of Nursing and Podiatry, which makes her the first female full-time university professor in this area of knowledge in the Universitat de València.

Ana Queralt, professor at the Universitat de València, has been designated full-time university professor of Nursing of the Faculty of Nursing and Podiatry, which makes her the first female full-time university professor in this area of knowledge in the Universitat de València. This acknowledgement emphasises her teaching and researching career, which represent relevant progress towards gender equality in the academic field.
Ana Queralt Blasco has a degree in Physical Education, a degree in Nursing and got her PhD in the Universitat de València. Her work as professor and researcher has taken place in the Department of Nursing of the Universitat, inspiring new generations of professionals.
Queralt Blasco's lines of research are found within the framework of physical activity and health in different life stages, especially in childhood and adolescence. In the last few years, her research activity has been focused on studying physical activity and its connection to the urban environment.
The full-time university professor has been in different leading research groups in her specialisation, such as AFIPS, the Mixed Research Units in Epidemiology, Environment and Health (FISABIO-UJI-UV) and the GIAPAFED, contributing to scientific knowledge with a high international impact.
From the Faculty, they have shown their satisfaction regarding the chair of full-time university professor Queralt and have pointed out that "opens the way and inspires future generations of female professionals and researchers.
