‘Erasmus en el Territorio’ closes the edition 2015/16 with a visit to the Albufera

This Saturday, 14 May, the Albufera holds the last trip of the series of turistic/cultural trips around the province of Valencia, allocated to the Erasmus and international students of the UV. Lots of students have attended to the trips organised in Xàtiva, Requena, Ayora-Cofrentes, Gandia, Llíria, Sagunt, Bocairent, Terres dels Alforins, Cortes de Pallás, Alpuente-Chelva and Albufera.

The programme ‘Erasmus en el Territorio’ ends the edition 2015/2016 next Saturday in the Albufera, one of the most important wetlands in our country. The students will visit the Interpretation Centre Racó de l’Olla and the Muntanyeta dels Sants where they will bbe able to enjoy of a panoramic view in the rice fields. They will taste the local gastronomy in the Palmar (Valencia) and , finally, they will boat in the Albufera, with a specialist who will explain them the Dehesa and the Natural Park of the Albufera. The programme ‘Erasmus en el Territorio’ started in 2013. This has been its third edition, with a a total of 12 ludic and training trips and had the participation of Erasmus SICUE and International students. Students where from different countries: Germany, Argentina, Austria, Bolivia, Chile, China, Ecuador, Slovenia, Estonia, Finland, France, Greece, Holand, Hungary, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Norway, Peru, Poland, Portugal, United Kingdom, Czech Republic and Rumania. The most participative students have been, again, German and Italian. It should be noted the loyalty of the attendants, so the 80% of the students repeat a trip. The programme ‘Erasmus en el territorio’ has been organised by the Universitat de València, through the Office of the Vice-principal for Territorial Projection and Participation and the Office of the Vice-Principal for International Relations and Cooperation, in collaboration with the Centre d’Idiomes de la Universitat, the Centre de Gandia and the halls of Xàtiva, Requena, Ayora, Cofrentes, Gandia, Llíria, Sagunt, Bocairent, Chelva, Alpuente, Moixent and Cortes de Pallás and the Association Terres dels Alforins. The vice-principal Jorge Hermosilla has highlighted the formative vocation of the programme ‘‘Erasmus en el territorio’ and has signed that with these routes ‘we pretend to show foreign students the Valencian heritage, cultural and landscapes values’. The vice-principal Guillermo Palao has said that the UV pretends with this initiative ‘to complete the stay of the students in the Universitat de València, to increase their experiences and to facilitate the access to the Valencian culture, gastronomy and the landscapes, in a university atmosphere’.
