Mètode journal explains the day-to-day life of science in its new section
The science journal of the Universitat de València has recently launched a new section on its website where you can discover the workspaces of scientists from different areas.

Isabel Cordero Carrión applies her mathematical knowledge to research in astrophysics. Her work involves a lot of pen and paper, but also calculations using supercomputers. Her office, with a blackboard full of mathematical operations, gives us a clue as to what her day-to-day work is like. IsabelCordero, Mathematics Professor at the Universitat de València, is one of the protagonists of the series ‘Espacios de ciencia’ (“Science spaces”), which has just been launched by Mètode, an outreach journal of the Universitat de València. In this section, they aim to bring us closer to the usual spaces of work in science.
The fourth instalment of this section is dedicated to IsabelCordero, but Mètode has dedicated entries to other researchers of the Universitat de València, such as Pilar Domingo-Calap and her lab at the I2SysBio, and ÁlvaroConejosGarcía and his workspace at the Natural History Museum of the Universitat de València. An entry has also been dedicated to researcher ConchaGómezMena, who showed us the tomato greenhouses of the Institute for Plant Molecular and Cellular Biology (CSIC-UPV), where she works.
Over the next few weeks, the journal will take us to other scientific spaces of the Universitat de València and other Valencian research centres. In addition, we will learn about the research carried out by JoséBaldoví, Cristina Crava, Fernando Ballesteros, Gloria Sánchez Moragas, Francesc Mesquita, Pas García, Pau Carazo and Yolanda Picó.
