Today, Tuesday 8 November, Innocampus Explora organises the activity ‘Explaining Science 2.0’ at 12.15 a.m. at the Darwin Hall of the Interfaculty Room in the Burjassot/Paterna Campus. Some funny scientific dialogues by Big Van Ciència will be performed in the event, which is free entry with University ID.

Alternative ways of explaining science such as social networks or via YoutTube will be discussed during the session. Innocampus Explora is a project-platform coordinated by centres on campus aiming to create multidisciplinary groups of students. It gives support to initiatives that arise communication among students of different centres and that promote multidisciplinary culture.

The project, founded during 2015-2016 academic year, counts on different members (students and lecturers) of all centres to create a collaborative network that allows multidisciplinary activities proposed by members themselves or students on campus.

Big Van Ciència will perform ‘Scientific Monologues’, which start with a comic introduction about scientists and geeks, continue with a series of 10-minute monologues about issues or phenomena on Science, and finish with a question time in which the audience can express their doubts –raising their hand or via Twitter– and then scientists answer them interacting and improvising.
