17 students of the Universitat de València receive the national award for the best academic record

17 students of the Universitat de València have received this year the national award for the best academic university record awarded by the Ministry of Education and Professional Training. There have been 9 students who have been awarded with the 1st prize, 7 with the 2nd prize and one with the 3rd prize.

In terms of fields of knowledge, the best records of the University include most of the areas that are imparted in the institution: 7 prizes in Arts and Humanities, 4 in Social and Legal Sciences, 4 in Sciences, 1 in Health Sciences and 1 in Engineering.

La Universitat de València is the Spanish university that has obtained more prizes in the fields of Sciences, Arts and Humanities.

The awards will be included in the academic record of the students. They are awarded to those students that finished their studies in 2013-2014 academic year.

The first prize has been awarded to Antoni Beltran, graduated in Biochemistry and Biomedical Sciences; Julio Parra, graduated in Physics; Fernando Rabasa, graduated in Chemistry; María de los Desamparados Gamero, graduated in Human Nutrition and Dietetics; Vincent Blay, graduated in Chemical Engineering; Aina Reig, graduated in Catalan Philology; Ana María Zomeño, graduated in Hipanic Philology; José Manuel Buedo, graduated in Philosophy; and Josep Escrig, graduated in History.

The second prize has been awarded to Clara Murgui, graduated in Physics; Andrea Iria Falcó, graduated in Economy; Rafael Moll, graduated in Political Science and Public Administration; Sergio Yagüe, graduated in Labour Relationships and Human Resources; José Angel Cano, graduated in Catalan Philology; Christian López, graduated in Philosophy; and Andrea Sánchez, graduated in Classical Philology.

The third prize has been awarded to Fernando Molinero, graduated in Law.

On the one hand, the Ministry has given 57 first awards in Spain worth €33,000 each. On the other hand, 57 second awards worth €2,650 each have been given too; as well as 57 third awards worth €2,200 each.
