20 November: Full UV Senate Renewal elections

More than 56.000, students of the university community of the Universitat de València are summoned to elect the 300 representatives for the highest representation body of the institution.
On Tuesday 11 November the election campaign for the Full UV Senate Renewal starts. The election campaign will last until 19 November, and the elections will be held on Thursday 20 November. On this day, more than 56.000 members of the university community will be able to vote for their representatives.
The Senate is the highest representative body of the Universitat de València. Among their functions, the Senate approves the statutes, discusses the general lines of action and oversees the management of the institution. Representatives from all the university collectives form the Senate: teaching and research staff (PDI), trainee research staff (PIF), technical, management, administration and services staff (PTGAS) and students.
The electoral register exceeds 56,000 people, who will elect 300 senate members:

Students: around 49.000 people will elect 75 representatives.

Teaching and research staff: around 5.000 members will elect 153 senate members among teachers with permanent links and 38 among non-doctoral and non-permanent teaching staff.

Technical, management, administration and services staff: 2.242 people who form this group will choose 30 representatives.

Trainee research staff: 582 people will vote to choose 4 representatives.
The final nominations will be announced on 11 November. On that day, the campaign will also start. Between 11 and 19 November, the different groups will be able to present and disseminate their porposals. On 20 November, the polling stations will be set up at 9:30 and voting will be from 10 am to 7 pm at each campus.
Them, the count will be carried out and the electoral commission will announce the provisional results on 21 November. Final proclamation is scheduled for 28 November.
