2nd Multidisciplinary Podiatry Conference

The conference held at the new Faculty of Nursing and Podiatry of the University of Valencia has brought together students and professionals of the podiatry world, highlighting and promoting studies and research in this field.

The new Faculty of Nursing and Podiatry of the University of Valencia, located in Menéndez Pelayo street next to the sports hall, has hosted the 2nd Multidisciplinary Podiatry Conference, whose main purpose is to highlight podiatry studies and all its related fields such as nursing, traumatology, etc.

The conference has been organised by the Valencian Association of Podiatry Students (ASVEP) and provides an interesting programme of lectures and workshops that have been developed with the collaboration of traumatologists, chiropodists, physiotherapists, nurses, osteopaths and teachers, all of them health professionals.

The inauguration of the conference, as in the first edition, had the collaboration of the principal of the University of Valencia, M. Vicenta Mestre, who was accompanied by the president of ASVEP, Cristina Cuenca; the delegate of the principal for Students, Manuel González; the coordinator of the Chiropody degree of the UV, Juan Campos; the vice-dean of the Faculty of Nursing and Podiatry, Montserrat Alcahuz; and the president of the Ilustre Colegio Oficial de Podólogos de la Comunitat Valenciana, M. Pilar Nieto.

The second edition has experienced great growth with respect to the first edition, almost tripling the number of inscriptions. Participants were able to get to know and interact with the stands and products of national and international healthcare brands.
