7th International Congrss on Bioethics by Universitat de València: cure ethics against technological and socia challenges
For three days, the Faculty of Phylosophy and Education Science becomes the stage for an interdisciplinary reflection on artificial intelligence, global catastrophe and inclusive democracy, with international participation and a cure ethics approach.

Universitat de València celebratds the 7th International Congress on Bioethics from 1 to 3 October, an academic date calling over 200 experts from 13 different countries to tackle on ethical challenges of the current society. The motto 'Nuevas tecnologías, bioética de catástrofes y democracia inclusiva' ('New technologies, bioethics for catastrophe and inclusive democracy') proposes the deep reflection on the impact of artificial intelligence, automatisation and hyperconnection of democratic systems with social cohesion.
The opening act took place in the Faculty of Phylosophy and Education Science Aula Magna with Universitat de València Principal M.ª Vicenta Mestre, Dean Elena Cantarino, Scientific Committee President Adela Cortina, Congress Coordinator Juan Carlos Siurana, and Organisation Board Head María José Codina. The speaker highlighted the role of bioethics to face these global challenges with a humanist and cooperative perspective.
The congress orbited three main theme points:

Role of bioethics in a technological society.

Building a sustainable and inclusive democracy.

Bioethics in catastrophes and emergencies context.
In addition to the speakers' sessions, the congress also had free communication tables to share research and experience from multiple disciplines. The focus of the congress comes for the ethical tradition of discourse and defends cure ethics as the necessary frame to face current challenges and technological determinism.
The event was organised by UV Bioethics Research Group (GIBUV) and had a wide international participation including Latinamerican attendants. Inscriptions were open for students and professionals, with competitive prices to promote participation and academic exchange.
