This year 27 students of the Universitat de València will participate. They are organised in eight teams which will debate about the legalisation of surrogacy.  The students enrolled in the Debate Forum belong to the degrees in Law, Sociology, Political Sciences, Optics and Optometry, Journalism, Philosophy, Tourism, Physics, Translation, Electronic Engineering for Telecommunications, Food Science and Technology, Biotechnology, Criminology,  Labour Relations and Human Resources,  Finance and Accounting, Hispanic Studies, Primary School Education, History, Psychology, and to the double degree in Law and Criminology, Law and Business Management  and Administration, and Sociology and Political Sciences The last and the most remarkable update is this degree diversity together with the incorporation of students with degrees in sciences and engineering in a dialectical contest in the second year in which the local round of the University Debate Forum of the Universitat de València is celebrated.

Over 4 days, the participants of this local round, who previously took part in a course called Parlem en públic, com exposem els nostres arguments, will implement arguing, speaking and team-building skills and resources in order to defend their position.

The contest, which is open to public, will take place in the seminar classrooms of the  Cultural Centre La Nau of the Universitat de València, from 4 p.m. to 20 p.m.

In order to determine the winner of each debate of the local round, the Sedi counts with a team of judges constituted by lecturers of the Universitat de València. This year it will be composed by Raquel Vanyó, Carme Gregori, Empar Aguadi, Mª  Josep Marín, José Antonio García, Luisa Moltó, Rosa Redolat, Ferran Grau and Nel·lo Pellisser.
