A poetry reading

A reading of poems by Dimitri Angelis will take place on the 28th of April, in Sala de Mapes in the Faculty of Philology, Translation and Communication (Blasco Ibañez Campus). The poems will be read between 1 and 2 p.m. The entrance is free, but there is limited space.

Dimitri Angelís (Athens, 1973) is one of the most intimate voices of the new Greek poetry in which tradition and modernity come together to explain the problems of our time. A doctor of philosophy, a director of a literary journal Nea Efthini and currently Frear (Pozo). His most important books are Filomila (1998), One more death (2000), Mythical waters (2003), Anniversary (2008) and Confirming the night (2011). Moreover, he has published collections of essays and stories. Anniversary was recognized by the Academy of Athens with the Porfyras prize and was a finalist in the National Poetry Award.
