From the 19th to the 22th of February, the Universitat de València hosts the pre-university students who would like to know the degree offer and their installations. The most innovative element of this 23rd edition is that the visits will be spread in more days, so that the 18,732 registered students will be divided in four days rather than in three days, as in previous editions was planned. This allows a better organisation of the inflow of visitors and facilitates the first contact with the institution.

This year students coming from 317 different high schools visit the faculties and their campus with their teachers and some buddy programme mentors.  While walking through the campus, 333 university mentors, taught under the Programme ‘Mentoria Entreiguals’, are their guides and answer as university students the most common doubts that the visitors have.  Moreover, the dean teams of the Centres of the Universitat de València have involved their staff members: lecturers as well as administration and services staff, so that they can offer an informative talk before the visitors go to the laboratories, the rooms and the common places which could be interesting for these pre-university students.

The University Programme ‘Conèixer’ is an action coordinated by SeDi Information and Promotion Service, which counts with the participation of the 18 university centres, apart from other services of the Universitat de València such as libraries, self-learning centres, sport campus, etc.  Each pre-university centre gives a guide to their students. The SeDi is commissioned of the edition of this ‘Access and Degree Guide’ –which includes the plans of study of the Universitat de València, accessing marks, weighting factors, etc. The students visiting our installations come principally from Valencian High Schools and from Valencian Formation Centres, but some come as well from Castelló and Alacant or even from other Autonomic Communities such as the Canary Islands, Castilla-La Mancha or the Balearic Islands.
