Over the presidential election, Alejandro Higuera, Dean of the UNED, joined in as secretary and Maribel Hombrados, Dean of the University of Malaga joined in as Deputy member to the Board of Directors.

Antonio Ferrer Manchon is Dean of the Faculty of Psychology and Speech Therapy since 2021. He graduated in Psychology in 1992 with the undergraduate extraordinary degree award, and is Doctor in Psychology since 1998. Linked to the University as a research intern since 1992, he got the position of tenured professor of the University in 2000.

He was director of the Department of Developmental and Educational Psychology at the Teaching Training University School Ausiàs March from 2002 to 2003, secretary of the same department from 2008 to 2011, vice-dean for Studies of the Faculty of Psychology and Speech Therapy from March 2015 to 2021. He has been a member of the University of Valencia’s Senate since December 2017 and part of the Senate Board.  He directed the University Master’s degree in Special Education from July 2014 to September 2018.

He has taught mainly in the teaching training, speech therapy and psychology degrees, as well as in the postgraduate formation linked to the educational care in situations of disability. Currently, his research is being developed in the Interdisciplinary Research Structure for Reading (ERI Reading), a group specialised in the development of reading studies. His work focus mainly on the effect of reading strategies for learning, as well as the analysis of reading processes in disabled people and/or neurodevelopmental disorder.
