The report has been approved by 122 votes in favour, zero abstentions and zero votes against.

Stabilisation and promotion of the personnel

All along these seven years of mandate, the Dean has emphasised that people were going to be in the centre of the University politics. In this sense, she has pointed that all along these seven years an increase on the personnel in general terms has been produced despite the replacement rate and the uncertainty of the budgetary situation.

This growth has been possible thanks to the firm proposal for the stabilisation and promotion of the personnel. A growth that has been accompanied by the growth of the A1, A2 and B groups, putting the Technical, Administration and Services Staff collective in the number of 2.229 workers.

As for the Teaching and research staff, it has grown to a 4.760. A growth that has also been limited by the replacement rate, but in which it has been bet the stabilisation of the assistant doctorate teachers before their contract end, which has allowed a mild rejuvenation of the personnel. Furthermore, she has highlighted that “we currently find ourselves almost in an equality situation between men and women in the PDI (teaching and research staff)”.

Infrastructures: more than 200 million in 7 years

The Dean wanted to review the investments that have been done during the last year, but specially in the last seven years. At the same time, she has put to value the more than 200 million euros that the University has invested in infrastructures.

Investments that, despite the underfinancing and the absence of a long-term funding plan, it has allowed the notorious improvement of infrastructures in our university. This way, we dispose of a new Faculty of Nursing and Podiatry; an Interdisciplinary Centre of Health Simulation where all degrees on the field of health sciences do their internships and workshops; the Espai Vives, reconfigured as integral centre for the students assistance and cultural creation; the transformation of the Tarongers Campus with the new project of gardening; and the Innovation Centre in the SciencePark. As well as the future West Classroom Building II of Tarongers, the new Faculty of Biological Sciences and the Joaquim Català building, among others.

The UV leader in academic performance

The Universitat de València continues being the first university of the public Valencian university system in academic offer, with a wide range of degrees that are adapted to the demands and necessities of the current society.

This way, the Dean has highlighted that “the dropout rate of degree of the UV is way below the autonomic and state average, and that obtains more positive numbers that comparable universities”. This fact is also produced in masters’ from the degrees.

In the suitability rate, meaning, in the ending time of the studies according to the expected time, the UV is above the average of the Spanish and Valencian system, due to the reduction on the 2,4% of the dropout rate and the increase of a 3% of graduation tax.

Leading research

58 million of euros is the volume of resources that the UV has mobilised in the different research activities. Number that has allowed the initiation of 780 actions during the last year and maintaining more than 2.100 active.

The Dean has underlined that “the UV continues being the first Valencian university in research, to a considerable distance of the rest of the universities”. In this line, and comparing to other equivalent universities, the UV is leader in published articles and in percentage of greatly cited articles.

First of Spain in disabilities and sports

The University maintains its distinguished position in results in sport competitions. In fact, once more it puts itself as the Spanish public university with best results and the second of Spain. Furthermore, it is consolidated as the first of Spain in competition participation, a participation that is done in equitable terms of equality.

In addition, it maintains the leadership position in disabilities assistance. This way, it takes each year more than 1.253 students with some degree of disability, and among its personnel there are more than 280 disabled workers. Numbers that put the on-site university with more disabled students.
