The City Council of València celebrates this Friday 29th September the award ceremony of the Sports Merits Award of the city of València, which will take place in the assembly hall of the centre Complejo Deportivo Cultural Pechina. The principal of the Universitat de València, Esteban Morcillo; the vice-principal for Culture and Equality, Antonio Ariño and the director of the Physical Education and Sports Service, José Campos will attend the event and pick up the award from the councillor for sports María Teresa Girau

The Physical Education and Sports Service of the Universitat de València (SEFUV) has been awarded by the Valencian City Council with the prize to the entity, association or group that has supported the most the Sports volunteering movement, since it closely collaborates with the Valencian Office for the Sports Volunteering since its creation. All the training activities of this Office are carried out by this service through official credits.

La Universitat de València is the only university that gives certificates to the voluntary courses. This means, on the one hand a bet on training, and on the other hand, the participation in the encouragement of voluntary work in Valencia.

Volunteering courses
The online enrolment for the first term of the training courses from the SEFUV is available on the UV website (www.uv.es/sef). The SEFUV resume the volunteers sport training that has been offering from several years to the students of the Universitat de València.

The Physical Education and Sports Service through the volunteering courses offers the students of the UV the opportunity of getting involved in various sporting events in the city of Valencia and competitions organised by the Universitat de València.
