The Comissions of Equality in Blasco Ibñaez Campus have launched the awareness and education campaign ‘Hombres corresponsables: una necesidad para la Igualdad’, which contributes to help University community and the general public to internalize the co-responsibility in both families and society as a need to break the wedges in care achieving the full equality between men and women.

On September 18th the awareness campaign ‘Hombres corresponsables: una necesidad para la Igualdad’ begun. This campaign had two interactive resources. The first one is the decalogue ‘Hombre Igualitario’ https://www.uv.es/igualtat/webnova2014/decaleg.pdf, from which a piece of advice was sent daily by the Equality Unit Facebook’s page and its Twitter profile. The second one is the questionnaire ‘Evalúa tu corresponsabilidad’, which can be found in the Equiality Unit’s webpage http://encuestas.uv.es/index.php/115292?lang=ca-valencia and was sent by email to the whole Universty community.

On October 3rd the congress ‘Hombres por la igualdad y la corresponsabilidad’ will finally take place addressed to the whole University community, especially to men with critical and active interest inequality.

From September 18th to 26th the registration for the congress was opened, beginning with the inaugural lecture ‘Hombres, poder y cambio hacia la corresponsabilidad’ by Fabiám Luján Cevedo, sociologist, researcher and coordinator of Grupos de Hombres. The discussion panel ‘La necesidad y las dificultades de la corresponsabilidad masculina’ was scheduled afterwards with the participation of Joan Sanfèlix Alvelda, sociologist specialized in masculinities and professor in the UJI, member of Hombres Valencianos por la Igualdad; Ignacio Gil Osés, graduated in Law and Finance and Accounting, and activist in the Plataforma Por los Permisos Iguales e Instransferibles de Nacimineto y Adopción (PPiiNa); Teresa Bindia Alberola, head of Human Resources Services (PDI) of the Universitat de València; and Celia Guillem Monzó, head of Human Resources Section (PAS) of the Universitat de València.
