This past Saturday 30th November, the Aula Magna of the La Nau Cultural Centre of the Universitat de València hosted the launching of Hernán Pérez del Pulgar, el de las hazañas (Hernán Pérez del Pulgar, the one of the feats), a comic that relates the life of this historical figure, an important 15th century Andalusian soldier. The event was attended by Roberto García from Seville, author of this comic based on Marta Castro's historical novel, titled, in similarly, El de las hazañas (2016).

Hernán Pérez del Pulgar was born in Ciudad Real in 1451, and died in Loja (Granada) in 1531. Due to his well-known military exploits, Hernán became a myth, so much so that he was mentioned in several romances, in popular sayings and in Lope de Vega's book El cerco de Santa Fe.

This historical figure, who was a crucial figure in the Expulsion of the Moriscos, was always known for his bravery, courage and intelligence during the war to conquer the Kingdom of Granada, a crusade that earned him the title of Gentleman of the Catholic Monarchs in 1481.

In this comic, edited by Serendipia, Roberto García, graduated in Fine Arts at the University of Castilla-La Mancha (UCLM), portrays the life of Pérez del Pulgar, a historical character who, despite the years, still occupies an important space in the collective memory of our country.
