On Monday, 10 September, the classes will start in all the UV degrees. About 60,000 students are enrolled in undergraduate, postgraduate, PhD or UV-specific degrees. The classes will start on Monday 10, but the commemorative ceremony will take place on Monday 17th in the Assembly Hall of the historic building of La Nau.

Every year, the UV has been the favourite choice for those aspiring to enter the Valencian public university system. The 8,695 first-year places that were offered for the 2018/2019 academic course were practically all allocated before the summer (99.95%). In addition, 10 of the 15 degrees with the highest marks in the Valencian university system are imparted in the Universitat de València.

The official opening for the 2018-2019 academic course will take place on Monday, 17 September and it will be the first ceremony presided over by Mavi Mestre, the Principal of the Universitat de València. The session will start at 12 p.m. and the Masterclass will be given by José Devís, Professor of Physical Education and Sport, with the title “Speeches on the functions of school Physical Education: continuities, discontinuities and challenges”.
