The collection Col·lecció Martínez Guerricabeitia opens the enrolment period for its training catalogue

The collection Col·lecció Martínez Guerricabeitia of the General Foundation of the Universitat de València has opened in October the enrolment period for its training catalogue for the academic year 2017-2018. Four English for specific purposes courses, exhibition projects, heritage, cultural management and social network and artistic mediation are offered.

There are limited places and the university community and members of the Alumni UV union can enjoy a discount presenting the university ID.

There are 10 hours courses, excepting the one about English for art historians which has 15 hours. An attendance certificate will be delivered.

The catalogue
The course ‘English for art historians’, in its second annual, will be taught by the professor of the Universitat de València Jorge Sebastián from the Department of Art History. It requires proof of teaching and participation in English (B1 Level) for its realisation. It will take place the 2nd, 8th, 9th, 15th, 16th and 22nd November from 17:30 to 19:30, and the 30th November from 17:00 to 20:00.

The fourth edition of the course 'Planning of exhibition projects' will be held in February, by the expert Rubén Pacheco, technician in conservation and management of cultural heritage, and curator and exhibition coordinator. The course will take place the 5th and 7th from 16:00 to 19:00, and the 12th and 14th from 16:00 to 18:00.

In 2018 the course ‘Heritage and cultural management: new professions for the social networks’ returns, since this year celebrates its 7th annual. The training will be held the 7th and 8th May from 16:00 to 19:30 and the 9th from 16:00 to 19:00. They will be in charge of Professor Chimo Soler, historian and member of the Board of Directors of the Internet Society Spain (ISOC-es), and Ana Álvarez, web manager at the Thyssen-Bornemisza Museum.

Finally, the social educator Elizabet Català, expert in transmodal art therapy, will give the third edition of the course 'Artistic mediation: social action through art', the 16th and 17th May from 16:00 to 19:30; and the 18th May, from 16:00 to 19 hours.

All courses will be held in the training hall of the building of the General Foundation of the Universitat de València, in the street Amadeo de Saboya 4, except for the artistic mediation, which will be held at the Cultural Center La Nau (Calle Universidad2), in the hall Seminar B of the third floor.
