UV work forums begin with a day dedicated to Food, Pharmacy and Ophthalmology
The Universitat de València, through the Fundación ADEIT and its Uvempleo service, has begun with its calendar of employability activities for the academic year 2025-2026 by holding the UV Work Forum of Food, Pharmacy and Ophthalmology, the first of the events scheduled for this academic year.
The Faculty of Pharmacy and Food Sciences has held this day, which has brought together students, companies and entities to promote the development of professional opportunities.

The forum has begun with several simultaneous panel discussions, in which professionals from different areas have shared their global vision on job opportunities and development opportunities that degrees such as Pharmacy, Human Nutrition and Dietetics, Food Science and Technology, Gastronomic Sciences and Optics and Optometry offer. These spaces have allowed students to know first-hand the most demanded profiles, industry trends and possible academic and professional pathways.
Then, the team of Uvempleo has carried out two practical workshops aimed at improving the employability of students.The first one has focused on the elaboration of CVs and a personal brand, with guidelines to build a professional efficient presentation; and the second one has been focused on training through roleplaying, with activities designed for practicing interviews and selection dynamics in a guided environment.
After the institutional welcome by the Dean of the Faculty of Physics, Enric Valor i Micó; the Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, Hortensia Rico; and the Vice-Principal for Educational Transformation and Lifelong Learning of the Universitat de València, Ángeles Solanes,the session has continued with a tour to the stands of companies and collaborating entities, a space in which student have been able to establish direct contact with companies, learn about internships and work opportunities and about the needs of the sector.
The Vice-principal Ángeles Solanes has remarked the "good collaboration" of the two centres of the Universitat de València (Faculty of Pharmacy and Food Sciences and Faculty of Physics) that participate in this joint forum. She has reminded students that the commitment of the Universitat de València is always to opt for the best academic education and, moreover, to continue accompanying them in its employability through session such as work forums.
The dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, Hortensia Rico, has encouraged students to participate actively in the work forum and to make the most out of each moment of contact university-companies with the participating entities. "We are sectors of immense importance in society and everyday we have to confront real challenges. These types of meetings are the bridge that connects aspirations with tangible realities.
For his part, the Dean of the Faculty of Physics, Enric Valor, has pointed out the high employability of the optics and optometry field, while valuing this forum as an "excellent opportunity to learn about possible professional opportunities".
The Employment Forums of the Universitat de València are an initiative promoted by the Office of the Vice-Principal for Lifelong Learning, Educational Transformation and Employment, key spaces to learn about professional opportunities, widen contact networks and participate in activities to improve the employability.
