Conference by the therapist Carles Parellada on systemic pedagogy, tomorrow at the Faculty of Psychology

The therapist Carles Parellada gives this Thursday 18 May the conference ‘La Pedagogía Sistémica, una nueva mirada para los retos del Siglo XXI’ (The systemic pedagogy, a new approach of the challenges of the 21st century). It will take place at 18:00h at the Assembly Hall of the Faculty of Psychology. Parellada is a renowned master and family therapist who highlights that the Systemic Education shows a new way of looking at relationships and links which take place in the educational contexts by paying special attention to the communication with the family.

According to the author, ‘we should think on the attitudes and the pedagogical strategies that teachers need to develop. These strategies involve deep changes in our way of thinking about education, in the way to generate good teamwork and an environment of trust and respect for families, as well as how to approach the teaching-learning processes. We should take into account the new generations, who undoubtedly have special needs in the times they are living, so they can do something useful with the legacy that their parents have passed them, and society as a whole, by creating an inclusion and creativity culture which is accessible to everyone.

After the conference, the Master’s degree on Intervention in Multidimensional Systemic Education, a postgraduate diploma of the Universitat de València which will complete the supply of specialised studies of the faculty when it comes to psychology and education. The Master’s Degree is supervised by the professor Adoración Ferreres.
