The Universitat de València holds the 1st Conferences on Economic Crimes and Money Laundering organised by DEBLANC Chair on Thursday and Friday. José Ramón Navarro, president of the Spanish National Court; Manuel Marchena, president of the Second Chamber in the Supreme Court of Spain; and Joan Antoni Llinaries, director of the Valencian Anti-fraud Agency will take part in the meeting.

Gabriela Bravo, Valencian Minister of Justice; José Manuel Pastor, dean of the Faculty of Economics; and José Manuel Pavía, head of DEBLANC chair will inaugurate the conferences at 9.30 a.m.

All sessions –including the opening– will take place in the Governing Council Room in the building of the Principal of the University.

DEBLANC chair work on applying statistical, economic and learning methodologies into economic crimes and money laundering detection. Some topics to deal with during the conferences are legal persons’ responsibilities in economic crimes, functions and competences of the Valencian Anti-fraud Agency, an economic crime and money laundering practical approximation, and a press investigation of ‘Panama papers’ crime.

Gabriela Bravo, Elena Martínez (vice-principal for Equality, Diversity and Sustainability) and José Manuel Pavía will attend the closure of the conferences.
