The cultural policy of the Valencian Country is the central dossier of the magazine L’Espill and is presented today at the Principal Peset Hall of Residence

The political culture of the Valencian Country is analysed in the central dossier of the magazine L’Espill, which is presented today in la Muralla room of the Principal Peset Hall of Residence. In the event will intervene the co-directors of the magazine, Antoni Furió y Gustau Muñoz; the President of Les Corts, Enric Morera; the professor of the University and author of the number 57 of the magazine, Josep Pérez; and the professor of the University and coordinator of the central dossier, Sandra Obiol.

L’Espill was founded by Joan Fuster and devotes its 57th dossier to “The political culture in the Valencian Country: a critical perspective”. The policies analyse the deficiencies of the cultural policies and the challenges of such an important issue for the cohesion as a Country. It is coordinated by Sandra Obiol

Josep Pérez’s article on the future of the political party Compromís stands out in the 57 number of L’Espill. In addition, it includes the articles of Ernest Garcia (hypothesis of an ecological Marxism), Enric Marin and Joan M. Tresserras (Catalonia, a democratic revolt), Ignacio Sánchez-Cuenca (Democracy in Spain), Paola Lo Cascio (history of anticommunism), Joaquim Rius Ulldemolins y Sandra Obiol (cultural policies), Pau Alabajos (Valencian culture 20 years after the tsunami), Adolf Beltran (waiting for a cultural policy), and África Ramírez (considerations on the editorial sector and the cultural policies). 

Furthermore, it includes texts of Margarida Castellano, Arnau Pons, Manuel Baixauli, Salvador Rubio, Tomàs Escuder, David Peidro and Mireia Sellarés. Gandhi’s speech in front of the court that sentenced him and the Translation to Catalan of Hölderlin’s poem “Der Archipelagus” are also included. Reviews of Francesc Pérez Moragon, Joan Romero y Josep A. Ybarra, Toni Mollà and Carles Cabrera. The editorial is entitled: “What is democracy?  Is it in danger?”
