Recently, the Spanish Data Protection Agency (APED) has published the complete listof files of a personal nature which, prior to their creation, require the preparation of an “impact evaluation report”, as in the case of files containing health, genetic, biometric data on children under 14, victims of gender violence, vulnerable subjects, big data... For this reason, as of November, the service of attention and help for research files on personal data will be implemented (from which are excluded, among others, the anonymized data files, those of legal persons and files for personal use... but “pseudo-nominated” files are included).

Due to its complexity, an “informative session” has been organised, which will be repeated on the three campuses in order to favour and facilitate the attendance of researchers and administrative and service staff who direct or manage personal data files:

Specifically, at the Tarongers Campus on Monday 21st October at 9 a.m. in the Gregori Maians Conference Hall; at the Blasco Ibáñez Campus on Tuesday 22nd October at 9 a.m. in the Aula Magna of the Faculty of Medicine; and at the Burjassot Campus on Tuesday 29th October at 9 a.m. in the Darwin Hall.

The sessions will explain these files, as well as other related issues (ownership and responsibility in the management of files or the “notification of security breaches” in research files).
