Delivery of the awards from the UV Olympiad

72 students have received the awards with an economic endowment for their 1st degree year in a centre from the University The competition, in which more than 1.900 students from the province of Valencia participated, serves as a nexus between institutes and the University and increases academic excellence.

On Monday, 19 May, the Aula Magna of the Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry of the Universitat de València has taken in the delivery of recognitions to the winning students from the UV Olympiad. This initiative, coordinated by the Delegation for the Incorporation to University, serves as nexus between secondary school students and university students. Furthermore, its main goal is the promotion of studying in all subject areas, awarding academic excellence and favouring the access to university training to the students.

More than 1.900 Bachillerato students and 4th of ESO students have participated in this edition, from the many public and private education institutions from the province of Valencia. A group of students that has competed in 14 disciplines from the different branches of knowledge.

72 students have been awarded in this edition. An award that means the help for students with a value of 1.234,57 € in the Mathematics discipline and of 1.000 € in the rest of them, and that is granted when students enrol into their 1st course of any of the titulations of the degree that are offered in the Universitat de València centres.

In this edition, academic year 2024-2025, the winners from the Biology Olympiad have been: Sofía Requena Skalska, Pere Borja Bonet, Izan Patiño Faus, Oriol López Alós, Lucía Herráiz Calatayud, María Machí Ramírez, Mireia Ortells Martínez, Nerea Sierra Sastre, Carla Maestre Maset and Miguel Iserte Pastor.

Marcos Montolio Flores, Alba Arias Carrillo, Izan Camps Ballester, Marta Boluda Santos, Víctor de Gracia García and Alejandra Llácer Santos were the winner from the Classics Olympiad.

In Economics, Antonio Manchada Andrés, Carla Mestre Carbó, Daniel Fernández Infantes, Adrián Da Costa Durá, Dídac Planells Soriano, Jorge Bailach Merodio, Meritxell Gómez Prieto, Álvaro Núñez de Cela Bañó, Mercedes Pilar Sánchez Marta and Inés Pérez Montesinos.

Guillem Ramírez Miquel, Larisa Avetisyan Nazaryan y Diego Espí Amigo won the one in Philosophy, while Carlos Calderón Alba, Carlos Celada Esteve, Miguel Monleón García, Andreu Sanchis Sánchez, Marc Senabre Sanz and Jordi Guillem Mompó won the one on Physics.

As for the one in Geography, Marcos Cortés Castelló, Ander Almajano Amaro and Samuel Pérez Girbés were the winners. And in Geology, Mar Martínez Scarpati, Enmanuel Orlando González Márquez, Javier Pérez Villar and Beatriz Úbeda Jiménez were the winners.

Aya Sabrane Aissat, Núria Martínez Pons and Carles Martínez Atienza won History, and in History of Art won Diego Aranda Saus, Aitana Bolós Górriz and Álvaro Batlle Llorente.

Winners from the Olympiad of IT were Ariadna Franch Pérez, Mauricio José Pérez Hernández and Pedro Segarra Ferrer.

Jorge Pérez Gascón, Maria Victoria García Barrere and Rafael Caballera Guillart won in Linguistics.

Diego Navarro Perea, Kendry Quiñones Villarreal, Marc Senabre Sanz, Carlos Calderón Alba, Ariadna Franch Pérez and Eric Vicente Haya won in Mathematics. And in Chemistry, Carlos Calderón Alba, José Martín Daries, Víctor Zhou, Carlos Celada Esteve, Adrián Romero Girona and Marcos de Haro Deltoro.

To finish, Jordi Guillem Mompó, Llorenç Vèrnia García, Eva Martínez Català, Gràcia Herrero Català, Sara Pérez Ballester and Teresa Chilet Huerta on the Valencian Language Olympiad.
