The ‘Olga Quiñones Fernández’ Awards – to those undergraduate and master’s degree final projects including gender perspective and dealing with gender equality – will be given during the event. Journalist Nuria Varela will give the conference ‘Symbolic violence’ afterwards.

Last Friday, the university community observed a minute of silence expressing their rejection towards any kind of gender-based violence and remembering all of its victims and those who suffer it. The concentration at the Office of the Principal in the Blasco Ibáñez Campus was headed by Mª Vicenta Mestre, principal of the University.

Furthermore, the facade of the historical building of the Ontinyent Campus is illuminated in purple to mark the day for elimination of violence against women during the night on 23, 24 and 25 November.
