The 2019-2020 Forum.

The Employment and Entrepreneurship Forums from the Universitat de València (2019-2020) begin Tuesday 22nd October in the Faculty of Philology, Translation and Communication. There will be nine that, for the first time, will be developed by academic year. Organised by the Universitat de València through the Office of the Vice-Principal for Employment and Training Services, and UVjob, the aim is to facilitate face-to-face contact between companies/institutions, students and UV graduates.

The Forum of the Faculty of Philology, Translation and Communication will be open to the public from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., and will make a way to a series of meetings that will promote quality employment and offer a unique opportunity to put students and graduates of the Universitat de València in contact with those responsible for human resources in the entities. In addition, in the different professional meetings there will be talks, workshops and round tables where companies will publicize their organizations and report on the professional profiles they demand.

The faculties of Social Sciences and Physical Activity and Sports Sciences will hold for the first time the Employment and Entrepreneurship Forum.  It will be held on 30th October 2019 and 5th February 2020, respectively. And in what is a new initiative, the forums of the Health area -in the Charles Darwin Square of the Office of the Principal- and the Science area -in the Burjasssot-Paterna Campus- will include all the faculties of the same field in a single event. In this case, they will be held on 1st and 2nd April 2020, respectively.

The rest of encounters will be on 4th November at the Faculty of Pharmacy, 25th February at the Faculty of Geography and History, 25th March at the Faculty of Law and 5th May at the ETSE (Engineering Technical School).

It is advised that students and graduates register prior to the day in which they wish to participate, through http://www.uv.es/bolsadetrabajo, to obtain a certificate of further attendance and ensure access, as capacity is limited.

The first Forum, at the Faculty of Philology, Translation and Communication, will bring together more than a dozen companies and will begin with the institutional inauguration (9:30 a.m.), in the Sanchis Guarner Hall, with the participation of the Vice-Principal for Employment and Training Services, Adela Valero; the Dean of the Faculty of Philology, Translation and Communication, Amparo Ricós; the regional secretary for Employment and general director of Labora, Enric Nomdedéu; and representation of the Valencia City Council.

On the same day, there will also be an inaugural conference; a round table on employment programmes for the youth; video projections of career opportunities in the field of languages and communication; a personal branding workshop; an aperitif with companies and, finally, the awarding of diplomas to companies and entities.

UVjob recommends that people who are actively seeking employment to inform themselves about the companies that will participate in each forum, to select those that are of their interest and to seek information about them. In addition, the UV employment service, registered with the University of Valencia General Foundation, will provide users with an orientation service to review and optimise CVs and personal branding.
