La Nau Choir School of the Universitat de València, led by Mònica Perales i Massana, was born in 2002 with the objective of providing musical education to children (4 years or older) through choir interpretation in the University. The School follows the premise that songs are the basic element to structure good musical education. It is an excellent voluntary form of expression and constitutes an important element of human formation. The song develops the auditory perception and the emotional, physical and mental experiences. All children have the capacity to sing. It is a natural capacity alongside movement and the ability to speak. Therefore, there is not an access test. The only requirement is being eager to sing together. The School rehearsals take places at the Principal Peset Hall of Residence every Monday from October to June.

The Choir School is formed by three groups: Mistral Choir (3 to 6 years-old), Garbí Choir (7 to 12 years-old) and Tramuntana Choir (12 and older).

The enrolment process for the allotted positions will take place from the 28 of June to the 6 of July 2018 (9 a.m. to 2 p.m.) in the office of the Area of Musical Activities of the General Foundation of the Universitat de València (Amadeu de Savoia 4-4th floor, València).
