The entrance to Aulario V adapted for access of the handicapped

UV has adapted the ramp which leads to Aulario V, a part of the faculty of Faculty of Physical Activity and Sport Sciences, to the new regulation. The act is meant to improve accessibility to the building and it is in accordance with the objective of the university to become a more accesible institution through the elimination of all kinds of obstacles that bar access.
The construction work has also improved the main ramp of the building which has been made waterproof and adapted for accessibility. The renovation obeys the new regulation and allows the handicapped to enter the faculty without problems.
The ramp which has now been reformed had exceeded the allowed length and had not had a railing. The new modifications, besides reducing the slope, have also created two large spaces so that people with special needs can get to the main entrance of the building more easily.
Recently, other similar modifications have been carried out in the libraries “Maria Moliner” (Education) and “Joan Reglà” (Humanities) in order to obtain the renewal of the AENOR ceritifcate of accessibility.
