For this reason, the Directorate General of Culture of the First Vice-presidency and the Department of Culture and Sport of the ValencianGovernment have decided, together with the Universitat de València, to launch a tour to celebrate the award, coinciding with the end of the Valencian Cultural Capital.

The tour celebrating the award will present the latest EscenaErasmus show, ‘Una història de por,’ written by AnnaMarí and DanielTormo, and directed by JosepValero; all three, co-directors of the EscenaErasmus project. This show has already been seen by more than 8,000people during 2023, thanks to the touring programmes of ‘Las Pequeñas Europas’ (Department of Culture of the Valencian Provincial Council), ‘M’importa’ (Valencian Institute for Young People – IVAJ) and ‘AVANT’ (Agenda Valenciana Antidespoblament – ValencianGovernment).

‘Una història de por’ reflects on fear as a comedy: fear is “a necessary feeling that allows us to be alert to potential real dangers.” “Today, Europe faces its old monsters: drums of war and death thunder once again throughout the continent. The darkness brought on by the bombs reminds us that human life is fragile, sometimes even miserable, and riddled with fear,” say the coordinators of the project.

You can enjoy the shows of EscenaErasmus at the La Nau Cultural Centre of the Universitat de València (11 and 12December at 19:00), at the Arniches Theatre in Alicante (13December at 19:30) and at the Espacio Escénico Multiusos ‘Las Escuelas’ in Geldo (14December at 18:30). Tickets for the show in Valencia can be obtained on the website of the Tenda de la Universitat de València. The shows in Alicante and Geldo are free entry until full capacity is reached.
