Sixth form student body compete on the local phase of the Economy Olympics on Saturday

The student body of Economy and Business Economy from sixth form will compete on Saturday, 13th April, on the local phase of the Spanish Economy Olympics. the test will be held at the South Classrooms Building of the Tarongers Campus of the Universitat de València.

Approximately 250 students of Economy and Business Economy from sixth form who are studying in secondary schools in the province of València will participate this Saturday, April 13, in the local phase of the Spanish Olympiad of Economy. The tests, which this year are held at the Faculty of Economics of the Universitat de València have been called at 10 am in classrooms 101, 103, 104, 105, 106, 107 of the South Classrooms Building of the Tarongers Campus of the Universitat.

The local phase of the Economics Olympiad in Valencia is jointly organized by the Faculty of Economics of the University of Valencia and the Faculty of Business Administration of the Universitat Politècnica de València. This phase is sponsored by the València Stock Exchange, the Official College of Economists of València and the Chair of International Finance of the Universitat de València-Banco de Santander.

With this competition, the organizing faculties aim to stimulate the study of Economics and Business Economics among the student body, as well as to reward effort and promote academic excellence. The exam will have three parts, structured in conceptual questions, numerical tests and, finally, the elaboration of a commentary of current economic text.

The students who are classified in the first six places will represent the Faculty of Economics of the Universitat de València and the Faculty of Business Administration of the Universitat Politècnica de València in the final phase of the 11th edition of the Spanish Economy Olympics, which will be held from 25 to 27 June in Madrid, at the Faculty of Economics and Business Sciences of the Complutense University.
