According to what is derived from the last study of Graduates Labour Market Entry of the Universitat de València, published by UVjob through the Office of the Vice-Principal for Employment and Training Programmes, there are some principal indicators, and practically supplementary in all the degrees of the UV, which favour a fast entry of students in the labour market, such as having participated in exchange programmes (mobility), getting a high academic qualification (knowledge) and gaining technical experience (practice).

UVjob places at the service of its users, among whom there are future students, professors and content coordinators of the different degrees, all the analyses carried out from its Studies Area, with the aim of making easier and improving both the student's choice of degree and the teaching work regarding the future incorporation of students to the labour market.

The last of these studies presented (third edition) analyses the forth and fifth classes of graduates of the UV, and it has free access online. Additionally, the Universitat careers service has launched recently a new virtual tool, the EstIL application, which gathers statistics about the labour market entry from the following indicators: training and work experience, employment (current or last), skills and evolution. It also allows to compare between specific degrees and indicators, for example.

In this sense, the General Foundation of the Universitat de València, where UVjob is enrolled, will publish throughout the next months the first-hand experience of UV graduates who are currently working. This will take place by a transmedia campaign which will be accessible on the different communicative mediums from the Universitat and the General Foundation, where the new format ‘Treballem’ will be implemented. An audiovisual content born from the collaboration between the General Foundation, the UVcomunicació service and the Taller d'Audiovisuals de la Universitat de València (TAU), which intends to approach, among equals, the training experience and its consequent labour market entry. Then, degree by degree, a thorough analysis of the results from the third study of Graduates Labour Market Entry of the Universitat will be displayed, covering all the current offer of Degrees (55) and Double Degrees (4).

“From UVjob, we also work in the development of different tools which make it easier to conduct a quantitative diagnosis in order to assess the employability of our graduates. This happens with EstIL, an interactive tool which allows us to observe and examine information, in aggregated and disaggregated ways, about all the Undergraduate and Postgraduate studies made until today”, highlights the director of the Universitat careers service, Marisa Quintanilla.

For the vice-principal for Employment and Training Programmes of the Universitat de València, Adela Valero, “the area of UVjob destined to the systematic analysis of the labour market entry is strategic within the university employment policy, since it provides us with all the information about career opportunities and it helps us to know which are the companies and employers labour demands in a reasonable time frame to let the institution adapt its teaching programmes to the reality of the labour market”. And she states: “The uncertainty imposed by this unprecedented pandemic situation has not made us overlook our principal objective in any moment; quite the opposite. Even more nowadays, we work to help and improve the employability of our students, and to achieve their success in the labour market, finding jobs which adapt to the qualification obtained while they studied at the Universitat de València”.

All the studies and analyses conducted by UVjob are public and accessible on its website.
