The Faculty of Geography and History has presented the first stage of the “History of Alborache I: construction of an experiential space” project. This project was commissioned to the faculty by the Alborache town council and is managed by the OTRI (Office of Innovation and Transfer of the University of Valencia). The first stage of the project comprises a research book on the geography, Prehistory, Ancient History, Middle Ages and feudal estate of Alborache.

The ceremony was attended by the town mayor, Francisca Collado; the Valencian minister for Culture, Vicente Darder; the dean of the Faculty, Josep Montesinos; the vice-dean for Culture, Emilio Iranzo; the secretary of the Faculty, Manuel Lomas, and the authors Manel Pastor, Mónica Granell, Mónica Fernández and Antonio Ledo.

The second stage of the project will complete the contribution that the University of Valencia, at the request of the town council, proposed as a global vision of reality, of a town such as Alborache that aims to study and share its past and present to project itself into the future, starting from its own reality. We hope these efforts serve as tools for knowledge transfer and as a source of delight and pride for the people of Alborache.
