Former Principal of the UV Ramon Lapiedra to receive the AVL Medal

The Academia Valenciana de la Llengua (AVL, Valencian Language Academy) awarded on Friday 29th the Institution's Medal, the highest academic distinction, to the former rector of the Universitat de València, Ramon Lapiedra Civera.

The former Principal of the Universitat de València between 1984 and 1994, Ramon Lapiedra, received on Friday 29th November, the Medal of the Acadèmia Valenciana de la Llengua for his contribution and merits in favour of the culture, science, letters and language of the Valencian people. At the same event, the editor Rosa Serrano Llàcer will also receive the same academic award.

The AVL Medal was awarded on Friday 29th, in the monastery of San Miquel dels Reis, headquarters of the Acadèmia, on the occasion of the solemn opening of the 2019-2020 academic year, which was presided over by the Counsellor of Education, Culture and Sport, Vicent Marzà.
