Students and the author will read fragments of her last book. She will also address the keys of her dual writing. The meeting is coordinated by the doctoral students David Cases, Paula Núñez and Henry F. Vásquez. On the one hand, David is undertaking a thesis on Imache’s work. On the other hand, Paula and Henry are working in the research group GIUV2013-144: HYBRID: Cultural hybridizations and migrant identities, led by the professor Domingo Pujante. It also counts with the participation of the Department of French and Italian Philology of the Universitat de València.

Tassadit Imache is a French writer who addresses in her books intercultural issues related to memory, the loss of contact with a culture and the history of her sociocultural origins (her father was Algerian and her mother was French). She addresses generally the urban context, particularly the Parisian suburbs where she was raised. She is also interested in current issues such as immigration, police violence and deportation.  She has a long and varied career as a writer. Two of her novels for young people stand out: Le rouge à lèvres (1988) y Algérie, filles et garçons (1991). Among her other novels, we should highlight Une fille sans histoire (1989), Le dromadaire de Bonaparte (1995), Je veux rentrer (1998), Presque un frère (2000), Des nouvelles de Kora (2009) and her last book, Des cœurs lents (2017).
