Informative session on food processing within the R&D Horizon European Programme

On 18 June the technical session “The European Strategy Food 2030 and the participation of the food sector in Horizon Europe” will take place in the Parc Científic. The initiative aims to help companies and researchers of this area so that they can cope future calls of the R&D Horizon European Programme.

The session will address the strategy Food 2030, an initiative that will indicate the lines of research of the food sector for the 2020-2030 period. The European Commission is currently promoting it in the framework of the Horizon European Programme.

The event is organised by the Universitat de València, the Centre for the Development of Industrial Technology (CDTI) and the Valencian Centre for business competitiveness (IVACE).

Representatives of these institutions and several Spanish and European institutions will participate in the session.  It is the case of Food Drink Europe, which is the association of European companies linked to the food industry; Food Nexus, the European network of companies and centres of research in this field; SIRO Group; Unilever and the biotechnological research centre Biopolis.

The session will start at 9:45 a.m. at the Assembly Hall of the Head Building in the Parc Científic. It will be presented by the Vice-principal for Innovation and Transfer of the Universitat de València, María Dolores Real; the director of the Parc Científic, Juan Antonio Raga and the responsible of the European Programmes and services of IVACE, Rafael Escamilla.
