The Congress has opened the Call for papers period for communications and also the registration period. It will be made on a hybrid format (in-person and online) on 11 and 12 November 2026.

The 1st International Congress “Riesgo, Responsabilidad y Confianza en la Sociedad Digital” (‘Risk, Responsibility and Trust on Digital Society’) (https://esdeveniments.uv.es/go/sociedaddigital2026), which will be held on La Nau of the Universitat de València, as well as online, is created with the aim to generate a space for interdisciplinary reflection on the major law challenges that arise out from digital transformation.

Organised by the University Institute of Patrimonial Law (Patrimonium)and theDepartment of Private Law at the Universidade da Coruña, the congress will gather national and international specialists to analyse, from different perspectives, the impact of new technologies on Private Law. Through conferences, round tables, and educational activities, key topics such as business automation, cyber-risks, digital identity, the opacity of artificial intelligence systems, or the opportunities offered by digitisation in fields such as dwelling and dependence.

The event, which will take place on 11 and 12 November 2026 at the building of La Nau (C/ Universitat, 2, València), is directed by: Mª Luisa Atienza (Professor of Civil Law. Universitat de València), Juan Bataller ( Professor of Commercial Law. Universitat de València), Josefina Boquera (Professor of Commercial Law. Universitat de València), Mª Dolores Mas (Professor of Civil Law. Universitat de València), and Mª del Rocío Quintáns (Professor of Commercial Law. Universidade da Coruña).

In a context marked by the growing automation, the development of artificial intelligence, and the extension of digital environments, questions such as risk management, assignment of responsibilities, and trust construction are placed in the centre of the contemporary law discussion.

REGISTRATION

In-person registration will be able until the room reaches full capacity; online attendees will receive the log in link 12 hours in advanced. The congress offers an early bird registration, another onegeneral, and a specific one for those presenting a communication

CALL FOR PAPERS: communication proposals

Deadlines:

In this context, the organisation has already open the call for papers, aimed at researchers, professors, pre-Doctorate staff, and professionals interested in presenting communications related to law, ethical, and social challenges of digitisation.

The awarded communications, as well as a selection of the best presented communications, will be published on a work edited at Marcial Pons in the discipline of Open Access.
