Josep Ballester, chosen president of the Spanish Society of Language and Literature Didactics

The teacher of the Faculty of Teacher Training of the University of Valencia Josep Ballester has been re-elected as president of the Spanish Society of Language and Literature Didactics (SEDLL). The election took place during the XIX International Congress of the institution, where specialists from all over the world meet.

The election was made by the General Assembly of the institution, in a ceremony held at the University of Almería on November 30th. Josep Ballester (Alzira, 1961) will lead the institution for the next four years.

The SEDLL is a non-profit institution with a history of thirty years, with the goal of bringing together all the teachers and researchers of didactics of the different languages ​​and their literatures, and with the purpose of promoting and intensifying the research, innovation and teaching-learning of these subjects. Among other activities, the SEDLL organizes congresses, symposiums or conferences both in Spain and abroad.

Josep Ballester is a professor at the Department of Language and Literature Didactics at the University of Valencia and director of the Reading Education, Literary, Linguistic, Culture and Society (ELCiS) research group at the University of Valencia.
