Juan Manuel Penín has been nominated a new managing director of the University-Business Foundation (ADEIT) of the Universitat de València. He took the position over from Antonio Aracil, who was in charge of the Foundation since 1987 and served as a connecting link between the university and business environments.

“We are facing a very important challenge: to begin a new stage in the project, departing from a great deal of good work and bringing an extra distinctive value to our services,” pointed out Penín who assumes his position of authority “with responsibility, full dedication, and much hope.” “We will continue working to stay one of the key entities in the social and economic development of the Valencian Community,” proceeded Penín.

On the other hand, he stresses that he counts on support of the president María Emilia Adán and the vice-president Fernando Gil, as well as the whole team of ADEIT with its vast and varied experience, to achieve the set objectives.

A graduate in Law and Business Sciences, he pursued Digital Transformation Management Program at IE Business School and the Public Management Leadership Program at IESE Business School, among other PhD courses.

Extensive professional experience in public and private sectors

Juan Manuel Penín has an extensive and recognised experience both in public and in private sectors, where held positions of authority. He formed a part of a management team at SEGITTUR (an entity working within the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Tourism) and was responsible for institutional relations, technological strategy, digital, marketing, and commercial contents, as well as communications and media. Moreover, he was an executive director of the American department of the European PhD Institute, a general director of Summa Campus, an executive director of the American department of San Pablo CEU University Foundation, an executive director of  Sergio Arboleda–San Pablo Foundation, a general director of Aulamundi, and a secretary of the Institute for Advanced Studies of CEU.

In addition, he is a professor of subjects related to digital transformation and a lecturer in various PhD centres and business schools (like EOI, European PhD Institute - IEP, School of Marketing and Business - EEME, IE, and so on).

A Foundation bringing the university closer to business environment
University-Business Foundation (ADEIT), a centre originally established by the Universitat de València more than 30 years ago, serves as a meeting point between the Universitat de València and its social and economic environment. It offers educational programmes, internships, employment and entrepreneurship opportunities, among others.

ADEIT Foundation is supported by a Board of Trustees, headed by María Emilia Adán, consisting of delegates of the Universitat de València, representatives of the Valencian community, and a group of companies that work to promote cooperation between the university and businesses.
