La Nau hosts a debate on electoral programs related to sports

La Nau Cultural Centre will host tomorrow, Saturday 13 April, the 'Day on electoral programs in sports: regional elections 2019', which will be attended by political representatives of all parliamentary groups. The event will take place in the Aula Magna de la Nau at 10 am and is organised by the Colegio Oficial de Licenciados en Educación Física y Ciencias de la Actividad Física y el Deporte de la Comunidad Valenciana [Official College of Graduates in Physical Education and Sciences of Physical Activity and Sport of the Valencian Community] (COLEF-CV) and the Asociación de Gestores Deportivos Profesionales de la Comunidad Valenciana [Association of Professional Sports Managers of the Valencian Community] (GEPACV) with the collaboration of the Office of the Vice-Principal for Culture and Sport of the Universitat de València.

Antonio Ariño, vice-rector of Culture and Sport at the Universitat de València, will open the day, which will continue with the lecture 'Challenges in physical activity and sport', given by Antonio Campos Izquierdo, former Deputy Director General at the Spanish Agency for the Protection of Health in Sport (AEPSAD) and professor at the Faculty of Physical Activity and Sport Sciences at the Polytechnic University of Madrid.

From 10.20 a.m. onwards, the candidates for the regional sports elections will present their programmes. In the round table will participate: Daniel Adell (PSPV-PSOE), Luis Martínez (PP), Josep Miquel Moya (Compromís), Juan Dols (Podemos) and Carlos Garcia (Ciudadanos), moderated by Antonio Ariño.  Afterwards, there will be a question time and José Luís Herreros Saiz, president of COLEF-CV and Miguel Ángel Nogueras Carrasco, president of GEPACV will conclude the conferences.

The aim of this activity is to know the opinion of the different political parties on the matter, their proposals to manage physical activity and raise awareness of the importance of sport for a healthy lifestyle.
